G for Gross (nasty post)

"..This is another species of giant centipede, a full-grown scolopendra viridicoris killing and eating a mouse. Centipedes have very poor eyesight and this mouse was very adept at staying out of harms way so we had to use a long feather to help it out a little. I doubt we would have had to if I didn't have a large piece of wood in its habitat.
Note that the centipede is very ambidextrous and actually catches the prey with its hind legs first, and then doesn't bite it until it has located it's throat."
